Summary:

Provides proper testing and education for in/out patients following prescribed schedules, physician orders, competencies and protocols.  Utilizes proper equipment and procedures, protects patient's confidentiality and produces accurate and complete documentation for all activities.

 

Qualifications:

·       High School diploma with basic dysrhythmia course or satisfactory completion of an approved CVT or RCP Program with OJT training.

·       Current CPR certification.

·       Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.

·       Working knowledge of Philips/Epiphany EKG Systems and Quinton Stress Machines. Must complete all major competency verifications on a yearly basis.

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·       Able to work accurately and quickly under pressure. 

·       Able to make independent clinical decisions within scope of practice. 

·       Able to set priorities and organize work independently.

·       Able to lift 20 – 30 pounds (supplies). 

·       Able to walk, sit and stand frequently during work shift.  Able to bend and kneel occasionally during work shift.

·       Able to hear conversational tones, phone messages, and equipment alarms and use a stethoscope.
