Position Summary: 

The QM Business Analyst supports the Quality department by providing expertise in the areas of process analysis, data analysis and reporting, process improvement, and project leadership.  The QM Business Analyst will lead small/medium scale improvement projects, provide process analysis to investigate occurrence reports, create and maintain data reporting for local improvement projects, and provide coaching to Quality department peers and health system business partners in their areas of expertise.





Minimally Required

The minimum required to perform the essential duties of the role.


These are not required to perform the basic functions of the role.


Formal education (e.g. High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree, graduate of an accredited program)

Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare related required.

Clinical licensure or Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Administration or related field preferred.


Include due date if licensure/certification is required after hire. 

Green Belt Certification in a recognized improvement methodology (Lean, Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, etc.) or ability to obtain certification within 1 year.

CPHQ or other quality certifications a plus.


Number of years and type of directly related work experience (e.g. 2-4 years of accounting experience)

Minimum of three 3 years of experience leading improvement projects and providing data analysis/reporting.


Experience navigating Electronic Health Records (e.g. Epic)



Commonly known principles to execute the duties of this job.

MS Office Suite; including OneNote, Access, Visio, Project Management Tools, Data Analysis tools.
