Perioperative Support Technician – Entry Level/ No License Needed!

Summary:

As a member of the Surgical Services team, the Perioperative Support Technician identifies and collects sterile instrumentation and equipment for surgical procedures.  He/She assists the surgical team with intra-operative procedures and room turnover.  The Perioperative Support Technician responds appropriately to emergency situations.  He/She works under the direction of the surgical team and is accountable to the Unit Director.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Terminology preferred.
• Frequent use of fine motor and sensory skills.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Ability to achieve the following competencies:

• Preference cards.
• Inventory management of supplies.
• Equipment safety check.
• Room setup.
• Cleans and decontaminates surgical instruments.
