Summary:

Reports to the Patient Relations Supervisor.  Processes telephone inquiries and assists patients with inquiries and requests.  Handles disputes and documents all exchanges consistent with organizational policies and procedures. Collects self-pay accounts in accordance with mandated State & Federal laws and the Southern NH Medical Center's policy guidelines. Advises patients of financial arrangement options and assist with interpretation of their insurance's payments and balances. Maintains accurate record of all calls.

 

Qualifications:

·       High School Graduate with basic business courses.

·       2-5 years of Medical billing/collection experience preferred.

·       Computer operation knowledge-windows environment.

·       Excellent communication skills.

·       Ability to work independently and prioritize duties.

·       Requires good visual acuity and depth perception for long periods of computer work.

·       The ability to maintain composure in conflict situations.
