As a member of the Patient Care Services team, Clinical Assistants (LNA's) perform patient care, coordinate administrative functions of assigned patient care areas, and facilitate patient flow throughout the department. Clinical Assistants cross-train as HUCs; collecting and documenting basic patient care information as delegated. You will prepare and maintain patient records with appropriate data elements; perform basic patient care activities and related services while maintaining a safe environment.
3 West is a medical/surgical – oncology unit located on the third floor of the West building. It consists of 22 private rooms, of which 2 are palliative care rooms where staff provides care to patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Ten patient rooms include ceiling-mounted lifts. Working with predominately adult patients, Phase II recovery of surgical patients, (vascular, oncology, GI, bariatric, urology, women’s health) chemotherapy administration, and palliative care. Our 3 West staff demonstrate a strong work ethic based on teamwork, respect, and the desire to provide a higher level of culturally competent care to our patients.
- Completed LNA program.
- Current New Hampshire LNA licensure.
- Basic medical terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to comprehend and communicate in English.
