Job Responsibilities:
Clinical Assistants are a combination of HUCs & LNA's. As a member of the Patient Care Services team, Clinical Assistants coordinate administrative functions of assigned patient care areas and facilitates patient flow throughout the department. Clinical Assistants function as area receptionists; collecting and documenting basic patient care information as delegated. You will prepare and maintain patient records with appropriate data elements; perform basic patient care activities and related services while maintaining a safe patient care environment.
This fast-paced unit provides outstanding nursing care to our pre- and post-op surgical specialties and diagnoses related to gastroenterology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and other medical conditions. These patients are admitted as inpatients, outpatients, or observation patients and are predominantly adults, though some older pediatric patients may be admitted to the unit based on their care needs and in consultation with the pediatric medical staff. Our 3 East staff demonstrate a strong work ethic based in teamwork, respect, and the desire to provide a higher level of culturally competent care to our patients.
Qualifications:
- Completed LNA program.
- Current New Hampshire LNA licensure.
- Basic medical terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to comprehend and communicate in English.
