Interpreter Services Coordinator

About the Job:
This central role to the Interpreter services team provides interpreter services to patients and coordinates the appointment requests to determine per diem and agency appointment needs/schedule. The Interpreter Services Coordinator manages the Istar Interpreter database requests, schedules auxiliary aides, communicates with medical locations regarding the status of interpreter availability as well as maintains the reporting system for program performance.
What You’ll Do:
- Management of Block Scheduling & Staffing.
- Ensure that the program maintains regulatory compliance and meets the communication needs of the population.
- Maintain Database management.
Who You Are:
- Completed 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Program
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Experience with simultaneous interpreting.
- Fluent in English and target language
- Understanding of International Medical Interpreter Association code of ethics and standards of practice.
