JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Manager performs all the duties of the Cytotechnologist with additional responsibilities for quality control, instrument maintenance, procedure manual review and department scheduling. The Cytotechnologist is also responsible for complying with all Hospital and department policies and procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in clinical lab, physical or biological science required
- Recent graduate of an approved Cytotechnologist Training Program required
License/Certification:
- CT (ASCP) certification, ThinPrep cytology screening training and certification required.
Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience as a Cytotechnologist preferred
