JOB SUMMARY

Works in the kitchen in the preparation and production of food products.  Prepares foodstuffs for the café, catering, and Room Service areas.  Various food items are prepared in response to the needs of patients, the café, and specific functions, while meeting all standards of quality, consistency, and safe food production.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• 3-4 years of experience in related food service cooking production.
• General knowledge of food preparation and safety standards.
• Basic math and reading. 
• Safe knife skills.
• Ability to handle a number of tasks at once and remain composed, abilities to work with and communicate effectively with all levels of staff, intra and inter departmentally required.
